Welcome to my modified mac-mini that I was using for 4K video using Resolve as well as working on 3-4GB Photoshop files without missing a beat.
This mini, along with the eGPU from OWC (sold in another auction) just crushed whatever I through at it. I am a profession photographer, retoucher, master printer, and part time video colorist. This setup beats the M1 chip on most benchmark testing, and really shines with Lightroom and Photoshop. I've modified it to force more air into the machine as I did not like how Apple set it up. I was really working it hard with 4K video and this kept it from overheating, really let it live up to it's full potential.
The memory can be upgraded to 64GB so there is still room to grow. Unlike the M1, you will also be able to use whatever GPU card you want.
The only known issue is that the Ethernet port has stopped working. This just happened and I haven't had time to really figure out the issue. Maybe you can find out and get it back.
I've formatted the hard drive and factory re-installed Mojave so you can upgrade it to whatever OS you want. Big Sur is still a hot mess so I recommend staying away from it for now.
I'm upgrading my whole system and hope someone can give this a good home.
